Although Levar is a weak incumbent, his opponents are even weaker. Some are nice people, but they don’t have the imagination, enthusiasm or commitment to campaigning to overcome Levar’s name recognition. Levar will limp to a majority or at least a run-off with Boyke.

You must be slow. I will win this race 70% or more. I worked for Levar and I know all his secrets. Just wait you will see! Oh better news My wife January is expecting! So I will have two things to be happy about this month

Yea, he may be weak, but when I drive around the ward he must have 100’s of signs all over. How weak is that?

Signs don’t vote. Besides, how many of those signs are on businesses as opposed to homeowners’ lawns? Businesses don’t vote either. I’m starting to think Levar is headed for a runoff.

I do not know if you live in the ward or have driven around but Levar has a ton of signs on homeowners lawns. It sure seems to me that Levar is pulling away, but there are still 2 weeks left and anything can happen.

What is amazing to me about the people of this ward is their discontent with a generally fine family man and leader. He does not come close to being the incompetent they would have one believe. Levar has my wholehearted support. Geez, fools wannna throw all that experience away for one of these other idiots. Why? We got it good now. It will get better to. Why gamble with neophytes. Not one of the other candidates will even have the support of their fellow councilmen or the Mayor. They’ll have to start from scratch at our expense. Now lets all get serious here and do what is right for the ward.

NEVER in the last 16 years have I seen such a marketing blitz by the alderman. Mailings, signs, phone calls… I haven’t heard from him in 16 years. Now I hear from him? Just the same, I’ve NEVER seen a challenger with so many signs… Wait, Yes I have, in 1987 when Levar ran against the incumbent. Guess what? I voted for Levar then and Levar scored the upset. This time my vote is going to Boyke and I’ve been voting for 29 years. In the last 29 years… I’ve only had 2- COUNT ‘EM 2 candidates not win when I voted for them. Forrest Claypool in March of ’06 and Tony Peraica in November of ’06. The only real challenger here is Boyke. Bob Bank is a good man with good intentions and I wish him much luck. As for Anna Klocek,(I think thats how its spelled) Anna Who? I’m sure she’s a nice lady… Bottom Line… One of two things will happen…. BOYKE 50.5% 48% LEVAR 1% BANK .5% KLOCEK – - – or – - – LEVAR 46% BOYKE 43% BANK 6% KLOCEK 5% - If the latter happens- that means RUN-OFF & that means the CHALLENGER is now the REAL DEAL TO A LOT MORE PEOPLE. On election night, this race will be making the news. MARK MY WORDS. I’m not always right, just 98% of the time. :-)

2 Mondays ago I attended Boyke’s openhouse with my family. We went with an openmind. I was impressed enough to lean in his direction, b ut after reading the new info about him that came in the mail, it just reinforced my perception that he was just another opportunist. How can anyone say with a straight face that he professes to have our best interests in mind when it all adds up to a vain and selfish attempt to use us to add to his personal fortune at our expense. I didn’t know he was a full time developer and now wants to be paid 100k a year by us so he can do it part time. Does the 45th ward residents really want to place their future in the hands of a developer who is looking out for his own interests rather than the interests of those who put him there?

I believe you are right

Boy, this one started out so promising. Now its only winding up to fizzle out in a disastrous ending for Terry Boike and his #1 drinking partner, Kevin Fallen. Thank God the people of the ward have obviously recognized all along that the competition against (example1#big-red2).Levar this time around only would have put our ward in certain peril. I can only surmise that they see the handwriting on the wall and thats why they they’re pulling the last minute desperation attempts to plant their signs illegally all over city property only to have the taxpayers pay to have them removed when %{color:red}Levar wins. It must be a big adjustment for the Boike/Fallen camp to come to realize that they just don’t have the right stuff to scam the taxpayers with their developers licenses.
