Paul Stewart
Ziegler is the obvious choice in this race. He is the only one with a credible plan and the only candidate that has already added value to the community. Ziegler is also the only one that is not trying to win for obvious financial gain, it seems that most of the other candidates decided to run once the previous alderman moved on.
Ziegler’s information can be found on his website it is very organized and up to date, the other candidates either do not have a website or have very little information about their views and activities.
Lona Lane is the one to watch here!
She is a smart articulate woman who knows which end is up, more than I can say about some of the other candidates running.
Are you kidding….no one has heard her speak except for prepared statements. It is ludicrous to believe she is the front runner let alone the most qualified
I have to agree with the previous post that Ziegler is definately the front runner. Ms Lane may be smart but how can you say she is articulate when no ones really heard her talk? If she was that great why didn’t the previous Alderman pick her instead of looking outside his office for his replacement? Obviously Murph did not think high enough of her to pick her to replace him. It wasn’t until after the alegations about Stewart came out that she was even an issue, actually before that she (Ms Lane) was supporting and getting petitions for Stewart. What is, has, and will Ms Lane do different for our community? Ziegler has a plan is definately articulate, smart, qualified and is not being controlled by appointments, or people that do not live in or care about our community.
Paul Stewart is the obvious candidate, he has the relationships, which you all know, one has to have and he has experience with city government. Ziegler is doing a great job with his organizations and needs to continue in that capacity. Who would succeed him anyway? He has bigger aspirations also, you can tell, he would be using this office as a stepping stone.
Seems like you are pretty impressed by Ziegler to me. After I saw him at the forum I was also. I fail to see how “knowing people” will help Paul, sounds a little “rubber stamp” to me
The FOP said that Ziegler was the most qualified. They obviously have a clue seeing that they interviewed everyone, that is definitely a big statement. They must have seen something in him and have a lot of confidence in him.
