"Daley wasn’t the only incumbent politician to be snubbed by the Chicago Federation of Labor. The CFL is also targeting 10 incumbent aldermen for defeat, all but one of whom, newly appointed Ald. Darcel Beavers (7th), either opposed the big box ordinance or crossed over to help sustain Daley’s veto. They are: Dorothy Tillman (3rd); George Cardenas (12th); Shirley Coleman (16th); Howard Brookins (21st); Danny Solis (25th); Emma Mitts (37th); Burton F. Natarus (42nd); Vi Daley (43rd) and Bernard Stone (50th).
In most of those wards, the federation is supporting specific challengers. In a handful of others, they’re saying, “anybody but” the incumbent.
The 3rd, 12th, 16th, 25th, 42nd and 50th are viewed as “Tier One” challenges where the Chicago Federation of Labor will devote its heaviest resources."

By the way, the Chicago Federation of Labor endorsed Ocasio today. The endorsement letter points to Ocasio’s “…strong understanding and respect for the issues that are important to working families and union labor, and we are confident that your intellect and experience will serve you well.”

Wow, you sure are out of touch with reality. You are clearly a graduate of the George Bush school of dis-information.
1) “voter registration fraud” – Ocasio had nothing to do with it.
2) “Dozens of businesses closed…” – Actually, less than 10, and again, OCASIO had nothing to do with it.
3) “donations from car dealer” – Ocasio was one of SEVERAL who received donations, including the Block Club Federation.
4) “use of TIF for housing development” – Not ONE person has attended TIF hearings or Housing hearings to complain.
5) “not increased economic development” – according to State Dept of Revenue, sales are up,
6) “reduce crime” – CPD statistics say crime is DOWN in the 26th ward.You offer accusations with no proof. I can back up each and every one of these points.
